- The Mixed Pool step has been reworked. You can now run multiple rounds with different pool sizes and choose the format manually or automatically based on your target and maximum bouts per participant. Organizers can allow or forbid rematches and use a random or ranking-based distribution, with one overall ranking across all rounds.
- Penalty and exclusion management has been extensively reworked, including how they affect scores, results and tournament progression.
- Both fighter colors can be customized for each tournament and are used in scoring, judge and spectator interfaces and TV displays.
- The “Show timer” option lets you show or hide the timer on live match displays.
Things to test
The new Mixed Pool formats and the refactoring of penalties and exclusions need testing through complete tournaments: pool generation, scores, match results, statistics, rankings and qualification for subsequent steps. Please also test existing features to catch regressions.
- Run a tournament from start to finish: creation, rule configuration, adding participants, pool generation, judging and score calculation, rankings, progression to elimination rounds, finals and tournament closure. Include penalties and exclusions throughout the stages and check their effects on subsequent rounds. Also check public and spectator views and live displays on desktop and mobile.
- Compare Manual and Automatic, Random and HEMA Ratings, and try different round sizes and the Allow rematches option. Example: 30 participants, pools of 5 then 6, giving everyone 9 bouts. Check exactly one pool per participant per round, the automatic maximum and the absence of forbidden rematches. Check the provisional preview, the confirmed format in Runtime, overall ranking, qualification, and saving/reloading.
- Apply, accumulate and remove penalties and cards. Test exclusions and lifting them within a category or across the tournament, before and during matches. Check scores, canceled matches, statistics, rankings and qualification in pools, elimination rounds and finals.
- Change fighter colors and check that they appear across the interfaces and live displays. Also test saving, reloading the page and resetting to the default colors.
- Enable and disable “Show timer” and save the setting. Check that the timer appears or disappears on live displays and that your selection persists after reloading.
